These actors delivered impressive performances in 2017, and could well be on their way to getting their much-deserved recognition in 2018.
This list is based on how much buzz there is around their future projects, but mostly, by how excellent their 2017 was.
Check them out.
1. Charles Etubiebi
With an impressive performance in "Ojukokoro" and the only bright spot in the disaster called "Lagos Big Boys,"Etubiebi is a talented actor, who will hopefully get to take on breakout roles, and in turn get much-deserved recognition this 2018.

Sure, the Big Brother Naija star has enjoyed roles in TV shows such as "Skinny Girl in Transit" and "Life of a Nigerian Couple."
But with her role as Ovy in “Ovy’s Voice” and Simi in “Glimpse,” the actress revealed herself as a captivating work in nuanced emotional displays.
She's both believable as a traumatized mute makeup artist and as a devout Christian wife in financial crisis, respectively, ensuring that her characters are relatable in both movies.
3. Akah Nnani
He might have a successful vlog, but portraying a sergeant in the 2017 movie “Banana Island Ghost” is Nnani's real breakthrough role; a character that made viewers realize the full range of his talent.
On stage, Nnani is also a delight to watch. And hopefully, 2018 will offer him more roles that will garner critical acclaim and in turn, catapult him into superstardom.
