The aim of Orijinal Nite is to give consumers and fans a chance to truly connect with the brand on a personal level. They achieved it with Reminisce, Terry Apala, and Adewale Ayuba.
How do you thrill people on a Friday night, in the month of January, where the pockets run dry and entertainment is scarce?
Well, thanks to Orijin. The brand swung into action with an Orijinal Night pop-up bar which held at the Ikeja City Mall and was open to everyone. The event which held on Friday, January 19, 2017, was a celebration of the brand and the people who support it.
The event was characterised by the best of music, theatre and performances. First was the impeccable music from the disc jockey, DJ Tique, which turned the place on its head, with dancing from all the attendees. Tique played a wide range of music from different music cultures, all representing the spirit of the Orijin brand.
And then came a performance by the street-hop act, Terry Apala. The singer was in fine form, leading his fans through all of his popular records.
There was also a theatrical performance by PAWS - The guys behind the 1st "Saro The Musical", "SHIFT Lemme Faint" and many other stage performances. They provided a bespoke scripted piece that had everyone engaged and entertained.
Hip-hop great and Orijin brand ambassador, Reminisce, came through with a set of his biggest records, starting from ‘Kako bi chicken’, and rounding off with highly appreciated ‘Daddy’. Adewale Ayuba would later come on, adding a local ‘Orijinal’ dimension with his traditional tunes.
The aim of Orijinal Nite is to give consumers and fans a chance to truly connect with the brand on a personal level. Launched in September 2015, Orijinal Nite has been to different parts of the country, spreading love and happiness by holding a series of in-bar activations in each city which climaxes with a concert featuring major performances from artists. This night was no different.
