Plateau records highest malpractice case as Ogun students lead

NECO records high pass rate as 32,917 candidates out of 42,429 that sat for the examination have five credits and above.

38 days after the National Examination Council (NECO) conducted the Nov/Dec exams, the body has released the results.

The body record high pass rate as 32,917 candidates out of 42,429 that sat for the examination have five credits and above.

Analysing the results on Tuesday, January 9, at the council’s headquarters in Minna the Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, Prof. Charles Uwakwe says Ogun state has the best result as 4,766 students out of the 5,213 that sat obtained five credits and above in all subjects representing 91.42%.

 

Zamfara state recorded the worst results as only 24 students out of the 186 candidates obtained 5 credits and above.

However, on the malpractice chart, Prof Uwakwe said Plateau state records the highest cases of malpractices as 943 candidates were caught during the exam in the state.

Meanwhile, the total number of malpractice cases recorded nationwide during the examination was put at 4,425 representing 10.43% which according to Uwakwe signifies a reduction in malpractices cases.

How to check NECO results

The NECO Registrar, therefore, advised candidates to access their results on the council's website, (www.mynecoexam.com) using their exam registration number and scratch cards.
