Ronaldo and Messi have been rivals in the last decade.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was filmed making fun of his rival Lionel Messi with a mascot.
Ronaldo and Messi have been rivals in the last decade going head to head for the biggest individual awards in world football.
Before Real Madrid’s 7-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, January 21, the 32-year-old was filmed talking about him with a young mascot.
“For me, you are the best player in the world and Messi…” the young mascot said before Ronaldo cut him off and said ‘is bad’, cheekily with his teammates laughing.
He went on to score a brace for Real Madrid in their La Liga win on Sunday.
Ronaldo and Messi have won the Ballon d’Or in the last 10 years with the Portugal star piping his Argentina rival to the award in 2017.
Race for Ballon d'Or
Ronaldo is however currently behind Messi for the race for this year’s Ballon d’Or following his slow start to 2018.
His brace on Sunday took him to six La Liga goals and his way behind Messi who has scored 25 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Ronaldo’s Real Madrid are also 19 points behind Messi’s Barcelona and are in a battle to finish in the top four.
