Wenger says Iwobi's behaviour is not acceptable and will be fined of it.
Arsenal star Alex Iwobi will be fined by the club for partying all through the night before their FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, January 7.
Iwobi was filmed at a house party which lasted until the early hours of Saturday before Arsenal shockingly lost 4-2 to Forest in an FA Cup third round game.
The 21-played the whole 90 minutes of the game and struggled all through.
During his press conference ahead of the League semi-final clash against Chelsea on Wednesday, January 10, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Iwobi willed be fined.
“It was not the night before the game. It was 48 hours. But it’s not acceptable, I will speak to him about it. If that is true he will be fined," Wenger said.
"When you read what is reported it’s like he has taken drugs, he is not involved in that at all.
"If he was at a birthday party, how long has he stayed? That is very important. After that I will decide what happens.
“If your neighbour takes drugs, what can you do about it? You are responsible for your behaviour.
“You must have played football, you want to prepare 100% but sometimes it is not a guarantee that you will be at your best."
All-night party
According to the UK Sun, Iwobi was at a ‘wild drug-fuelled house party’ in Soho, Central London.
The Nigeria international was filmed screaming and dancing as he partied wildly till about 3. 30 am of Sunday.
The party that held in a rented Airbnb was so loud that neighbours complained about the noise.
The midfielder was heavily criticised by Arsenal fans following the defeat and a source told Sun that the partying may have affected his performances.
