Angers are looking to sign veteran Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

Former Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama is set for a January move to struggling French side Angers SCO.

Enyeama has been out of action following his long-term injury and in his absence, he has lost his place in Lille’s first team.

The 35-year-old who recently returned to action for Lille’s U-18s is being targeted by Angers to replace their second-choice goalkeeper Mathieu Michel who is close to a return to Ligue 2 side Nimes Olympique.

According to Sportune.fr, Enyeama could cost Angers SCO between €500,000 to €1m.

Enyeama's European clubs

Enyeama was earlier in the year deemed surplus by Lille’s then manager Marcelo Bielsa who has now been suspended by the club.

A move to Angers who are currently 19th in the Ligue I table will be the fourth European team of Enyeama.

The goalkeeper left the shores of Nigeria in 2005 to play for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv in Israel. He has since played for the likes of Hapoel Tel Aviv and Lille.
