Tithing: How Daddy Freeze and Bible made Nigerian pastor stop collecting tithes

How Daddy Freeze made a Nigerian pastor stop collecting tithes

This tithing debate is starting a revolution in Nigerian churches.

Members of a church in Warri led by a Nigerian pastor no longer have to pay their tithes. This is all thanks to the ongoing tithing controversy led by Daddy Freeze.

According to Pastor Ufuoma Benard, he has stopped collecting the usual 10 percent.

Why this pastor no longer cares about tithes

He made a public announcement where he made it known that his decision is because of his knowledge of Bible and Daddy Freeze.

In his words, “After one month of poring through the Bible and critically examining both sides of the arguments for and against TITHING I publicly repent for receiving tithes. I am convinced Daddy Freeze is right. No more tithing in my ministry.”

Pastor Bernard added: “I am a pastor but I don’t know everything. I am a work in progress. I learn every day and from everyone. I am open to new things. I am not stuck in dogma and tradition. I am a liberal person.

“I hate fanaticism. I am not interested in making money through church business or attracting a large crowd or having branches of my church in every street and road. I am only interested in sharing the truth as I know it. The truth I am sure will set the people free from dogma, superstition, manipulation, ignorance and poverty.”

He made this statement via his Facebook account on December 13, 2017.
