The 2017 LFDW with Heineken as headline sponsor wins the most memorable fashion event of the year singly! It stood way apart from the pack with the show quality, ambience and experience, quality of guests and how incredibly organized it turned out to be this year.

The 2017 edition easily surpassed every other fashion events this year (still none came close!) This year, the venue of choice; Eko Atlantic was completely unexpected and unconventional but it worked bringing with it the serenity the place carried, a huge plus for the event.
For an event with every bit built from scratch it sure packed a punch. The venue were set in Marquees; the first housed the specially curated exhibition lounge and masterclass venues, the second housed the venue for runway shows and another for the VIP Lounge and so on.

The pre-event campaigns were shot across Africa with real 'storytellers' including the Maasai beaders in Kenya amongst others behind the specified themes captured evergreen.
There was the line up of seasoned experts- GQ Style's Mobolaji Dawodu, Vogue Italia's Sara Maino, in different areas of fashion for the masterclasses.
The daytime experience was filled with productive activities including the Fashion Business Series, there was the creator's lounge where press and style editors were able to work in style and comfort amongst other bits.
There was the arena just before the second marquee where photojournalists took photos away in style. The Heineken VIP Lounge experience with Kelechi Amadi Obi was set for creative photos and other side attractions.
The coverage by international and local press was everything and more the seating arrangement was world class and the lighting plus runway could easily compete with any at its level. In all the runway shows were impressive down till the list of designers who showcased.

The front row had buyers, style editors, enthusiasts and fashion heads lined as should be and these were just few of the bits put in place.
The easily anticipated fashion event of the year was hugely reported and got rave reviews in Business Of Fashion, Vogue, WWD, CNN and the list goes on.
Well thought out, planned, progressive putting on quite a quality show amongst others describe the show this year making it take a rightful place, singly as THE fashion event of the year!
