Arsenal are making a last-ditch attempt to keep midfielder Mesut Ozil by offering him a £300,000-per-week contract.
Ozil’s contract expires at the end of the season but talks over a contract extension have since broken down with reports linking him to a move to Manchester United and Barcelona.
The 29-year-old midfielder has impressed in recent weeks and the Gunners are making another attempt to persuade him to pen a new contract.

According to reports from England, Arsenal’s new offer is close to the £300,000-per-week which the Germany international is looking for.
If talks are successful, Ozil will be the highest earner in Arsenal’s history and will also be a big relief for Arsene Wenger who is resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez either for a fee in January or for free in the summer of 2018.
