Speaker Dogara failed to declare the seat of an ex-PDP Reps member vacant.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the House of Representatives staged a walk-out of plenary on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Reason?
Speaker Yakubu Dogara had failed to declare the seat of a member vacant.
Earlier, Nnanna Igbokwe an Imo lawmaker had dumped the PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Igbokwe decamped in the presence of his state governor, Rochas Okorocha.
Igbokwe’s defection was greeted by protest from other PDP lawmakers.

His colleagues were obviously unhappy.
In loud tones, the lawmakers urged Speaker Dogara to "declare his seat vacant."
But the Speaker failed to do so.
They would walk out of the green chamber and head straight to Reps Media Centre to brief journalists.
