Adekunle Gold: Watch man propose to his 'Orente' at singer's concert

Adekunle Gold at his One Night Stand Concert held on Boxing day at the Federal Palace Hotel.

There was this romantic proposal to go with the musical brilliance of Adekunle Gold's 'One Night Stand' concert in Lagos.

There was a wedding proposal at Adekunle Gold’s “One Night Stand” concert held last night, December 26 2017 at the Federal Palace Hotel – and it added an extra dimension of magic to the breathtaking music experience available at the show.

By the time Adekunle Gold stepped on stage and eased into a rendition of “Orente” shortly afterwards, an excited cheer rose from one side of the room, with a number of concert goers already gathered round a man in blue jacket who waited on a ben t knee for his woman with a ring in hand and expectation in his eyes.

With Adekunle Gold’s voice beautifully quavering “Orente” in the background and a mob of concert goers holding their breath in anticipation, the man’s girlfriend gets over her initial surprise, walks slowly to her man with coy smile, stretching out her hand to get the ring and another cheer rose when the pair held each other in a warm embrace to seal their engagement.

Asked later, the loverboy, Olawale Majekodunmi tells Pulse Weddings that only his friends knew about his plan to propose to Omobola Badejo,  his sweetheart of about a year.

The IT specialist  says after “one year” of being with the love of his life, it just “felt right” to pop the question.

And although he says he didn’t particularly plan to propose during the performance of ‘Orente,’ we're sure it must have felt extra special to have Adekunle Gold’s splendid voice singing the charming words of the love song, saying all the tender words and sweet promises he couldn't have said.

Congrats to the couple from Pulse Weddings.
